Mr. Crim joined the firm in January 2014 and represents clients in the areas of Business Law, Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning and Probate Administration, Real Estate and Social Security Disability. Mr. Crim had previously represented clients in these areas of law at The Law Office of Larry R. Williams, PLLC since July 2005. Mr. Crim also performed real estate closings for Union Street Title, LLC during that period. Prior to working in the law firm setting Mr. Crim was Vice President of Computer Consultants, Inc., a corporation he co-founded in January 1975. While at Computer Consultants, Inc., Mr. Crim earned his law degree from Nashville School of Law and was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 2000. Mr. Crim is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives. Mr. Crim is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee and a Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Michael Shipman – Attorney

Mr. Shipman began his legal career practicing in Chicago at the Cook County Office of the Public Defender, Felony Trial Division at 26th and California. He aided in the defense of nearly every type of felony criminal charge, fromTennessee Criminal Attorney violent offenses to drug offenses.  Upon moving back to his hometown of Nashville, Mr. Shipman accepted a position as corporate counsel for D1 Sports Holdings based in Franklin, TN to assist in the growth and expansion of the company. In 2009 Mr. Shipman entered private practice re-focusing his practice on litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Shipman handles all the firm’s criminal cases in the Middle Tennessee region outside of Davidson County. He has practiced in 20 different Tennessee counties and over 50 different courts. As an attorney, Mr. Shipman has enjoyed representing a wide array of clients from working in the public defenders’ office to working with clients who are professional athletes.

Joel Crim – Attorney

Prior to establishing Shipman & Crim, Joel was a prosecuting attorney with the Davidson County District Attorney General’s Office for 5 years. Mr. Crim served as counsel to the Honorable Judge J. DUI Criminal Attorney Joel CrimRandall Wyatt in Division II, Criminal Court of Davidson County.  Joel uses his unique perspective as a former prosecutor to analyze cases and put his clients in the best position possible to defend their case. Because of his knowledge, understanding and experience with the District Attorney’s office in Nashville, Joel handles all of the firms criminal cases in Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County.
